it seems, among so many qualities such as reliability, honesty, helpfulness, patience and etc, very difficult to prefer one to another because each of them has its own advantages. but it does not mean that all of them are the same weight to me. in my opinion, i would prefer reliability and helpfulness.
first of all, a good neighbor is very reliable. because i can trust my neighbor only if he is reliable person. that make me feel safe to associate with him. imaging that if your neighbor is not reliable, you will feel worry about having your neighbor looked after your baby even though he offers to do so. do you dare to leave your door key to your neighbor whenever you go out for your holiday? obviously, reliability is not only build the good neighbor but also is the quality of good person. and it is the foundation of a good relationship.
secondly, helpfulness is the best characteristic of a good neighbor. because whenever bad things happen to you, only your relatives or your close neighbors maybe help you to overcome the problems. however, your relatives may be far from you so your neighbors can provide the immediate help. in the same way, a neighbor who likes to help others will get help in return. so help each others can form a friendly and harmonious relationship among the neighbors.
in conclusion, reliability and helpfulness are two main characteristic of a good neighbor. because reliability develops the good relationship and helpfulness keeps the relationship remaining for a long time.
