Ranked 104th in Asian University Evaluations





QS and Chosun Daily evaluated universities among four categories: studies, academic rating, graduation rating and international exchange.



The University of Ulsan was ranked 20th in the country and 104th in Asia in ‘Asian University Evaluations 2009,’ which is an evaluation project among 463 universities in 11 nations in Asia. It is hosted by Chosun Daily and QS, an evaluation institute for ranking universities located in the United Kingdom.



The Dean of Office of Planning, Myung-Kook Yang, stated, “The University of Ulsan was ranked within the top 20 universities in the country after evaluation.” He also said, “To develop world class universities in this globalization era, the University of Ulsan opens its classes to the public and promotes programs to strengthen studies and academic achievement. “



University of Hong Kong was ranked number one in Asia and the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) was ranked top in the country (7th in Asia).

Among the top 100 Universities in Asia, there were 17 Korean universities, 33 Japanese universities, 11 Chinese Universities, 7 Indian Universities, 6 universities in Hong Kong and 2 in Singapore.
