Obama wants Iraq progress

Apr. 7 - President Barack Obama is in Baghdad to meet U.S. military commanders and Iraqi leaders and assess security there first-hand after announcing a strategy to wind down the unpopular six-year war by withdrawing all U.S. troops by the end of 2011.
MORE INFO:In a visit to Iraq shrouded in security-conscious secrecy, Obama told some 1,500 troops at a base outside Baghdad that it was time to transition to the Iraqis. "They need to take responsibility for their country, he said, "In order to do that they need to make political accommodations."
